Data Processing on this Website

sinokultur automatically collects and stores log file information on its server that your browser sends to us. These comprise:

  • Browser type/version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previous page visited)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server request.

sinokultur is not able to connect this data with specific individuals. This data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after statistical evaluation.


Web Analytics with Matomo

Our website uses a self-hosted installation of Matomo (formerly Piwik) to analyse website usage. The software uses cookies – text files which are stored on your device. The information collected is stored on our server located in Switzerland.

The IP addresses are shortened and made anonymous. This shortening means that the IP address does not refer back to a specific person. 

If you prevent tracking in the settings of your web browser, no data will be stored by us.


Cookies

Our webpages use so-called cookies at several points. They serve to make our site more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. 

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses.

 

Newsletter with Mailchimp

For our newsletter, we use the external provider MailChimp. See Mailchimp's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. You can opt out of the newsletter service at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the end of each of our newsletters.

 

Donations

The donation platform is operated by www.soulclick.ch. The transmission of data is encrypted. The customer does not store any card data. Your payment details are transferred directly via a Datatrans payment gateway in encrypted form to a partner certified by the credit card industry (PCI DSS). Our service providers may only use the information to perform their tasks and are obliged to comply with Swiss data protection regulations. 

Your personal data is treated as strictly confidential: Customer does not trade in addresses, does not rent, sell or exchange personal data and complies with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular the revised Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG). 
The donation made cannot be revoked or reclaimed. However, you can deduct your donation from your taxable income.
