We at sinokultur want to convey a Chinese culture beyond the image in the mass media. We want to provide an insightful view of a contemporary, multifaceted, and lively cultural life in and outside of China.

sinokultur promotes intercultural mediation through a dynamic and reflective dialogue with Chinese art and culture in Switzerland. We create exciting cultural events, facilitate inspiring and personal encounters and enrichen the Chinese cultural scene of today and tomorrow.

Cultural Promotion 
sinokultur provides a platform for artists, writers, translators, and musicians to realize and showcase projects related to Chinese culture.

At the heart of our work is the support and mediation of high-quality artistic practices that offer current, diverse, and sometimes critical perspectives on Chinese culture. Through exhibitions, readings, concerts, and interdisciplinary formats, we create access for an engaged audience and encourage dialogue and cultural exchange.

sinokultur im Salon
Our event series “sinokultur im Salon” creates intimate and inspiring encounters with cultural practitioners. In a welcoming Salon atmosphere, artists, curators, and creatives present their innovative projects, followed by an in-depth conversation and a relaxed apéro.

Art up close – personal and engaging
Beyond the Salon, sinokultur organizes guided visits in small groups to artist studios, galleries, off-spaces, art fairs, and museums. These encounters offer direct exchange with artists, creating unique experiences and a deeper understanding of their work.

Our program also includes art talks, book launches, creative workshops, and film screenings – formats that promote discovery, inspiration, and dialogue.

• Consulting & Networking for Cultural Practitioners: We support artists, curators, and cultural institutions with expertise, strategic advice, and access to networks in the field of intercultural cultural work – with a focus on the Chinese cultural sphere and its diaspora.
• Multilingual Event Moderation: Our moderations in German, English, and Chinese enable inclusive exchange and make cultural content accessible to a broader audience.
• Cultural Agenda – Online & Up to Date: sinokultur curates a continuously updated agenda of selected events, exhibitions, and projects related to Chinese culture in Switzerland and beyond. Our recommendations are shared via Instagram, Facebook, and our website – offering inspiration, orientation, and an invitation to cultural dialogue.
